Onstage Tech Rehearsal Friday, June 12th @ Centennial Theatre
Performance Weekend Overview
Each performance will take place at Centennial Theatre on Lonsdale Avenue and will run approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Friday, June 12
Evening Show — 6:00 PM
Show #1: Showcase A & Ballet Cast A
Saturday, June 13
Afternoon Show — 12:00 PM
Show #2: Showcase B & Ballet Cast B
Evening Show — 6:00 PM
Show #3: Showcase C & Ballet Cast C
Sunday, June 14
Afternoon Show — 12:00 PM
Show #4: Showcase D & Ballet Cast D
**Please note: all classes on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th are CANCELLED at the studio as all staff and dancers will be at the theatre.

DROP OFF PROCEDURES & CALL TIME:
All dancers in the Alice in Wonderland Ballet need to be dropped off 1 HOUR before showtime. All dancers in the REC OR COMPETITIVE SHOWCASE part of the show needs to be dropped off 30 MINUTES before showtime.
If your child is ages 12+ and will be staying at the theatre between shows, you can drop food off to the side door and one of our volunteers will bring it to them.
***staff & volunteers will provide colouring sheets, activities, and supervision throughout the entirety of the show, additionally there is a live monitor to the stage so dancers waiting downstairs can watch the show
SHOW EXPECTATIONS:

Students in full hair and makeup (scroll down for hair and makeup details and video tutorials!) will be dropped off at our check-in tent and escorted to their designated area by parent volunteers - they will be assisted to get changed and touch up hair and make up if needed
Drop Off Tent is at loading bay off of 23rd and Lonsdale -
Students need to be bring a quiet backstage activity such as a book or video game to keep them entertained when it is not their turn to dance

Students may bring snacks, but are not permitted to eat while wearing their costumes

At the end of the show, after the Finale dance, all students will be escorted to the check-in tent to be checked-out and picked up

It is not possible to pick students up at intermission as there will be no check-in/check-out staffing - students are expected to stay for the duration of the show

Please label all of your child’s belongings including the dance bag

LOBBY SALES:
If you pre-ordered flowers, they will be ready for pick up in the lobby prior to each show! We are excited to say our delicious cookies will be available again!
If you did not order flowers, we will have some onsite for purchase while supplies last!
SHOW PARKING:

Makeup/Hair & Costume Requirements
For all shows, all dancers need to have their hair in a slicked, centre part (using hair spray or gel) low bun and basic stage make up. Please see our video tutorials below for further direction. ALL DANCES (Ballet, Rec and Competitive) will be using this hair style for all shows.
Costumes
All costume rental fees have been paid, and your dancer’s costume will be prepared and ready for them at the theatre. Please note that dancers may still need to bring the following items:

Under-bodysuits (ages 8+)
If you are unsure which items your dancer needs, please message your dancer’s teacher through the Band app for their class.
Hair & Makeup
All dancers are required to wear stage makeup and have their hair styled according to performance requirements, unless accommodations are needed due to allergies or other medical conditions. This is standard practice across all theatre and dance disciplines, regardless of age. Please refer to the hair and makeup video tutorials below for guidance.
